Pre-History

Before the founding of mighty Kelnore, the races of Man were scattered and weak, though elves and dwarves both claim to have had great kingdoms before the first human nations. Though elves occasionally tell stories about heroes from before the rise of humans, they are little more than romantic sagas. The dwarven tales have never been recorded, but sages infer their existence from oaths and allusions made among dwarves in private.

Perhaps a few gods remain who remember some of this period. If their memories are clear, they might even be persuaded to (truthfully) answer a question or two about those hoary times. Aside from this, the pre-historic past is nought but tantalizing fragments and enigmas.

Examples of Knowledge (history: Pre-History) base difficulties

Beings present near the dawn of creation might still have some ranks in Knowledge (pre-history), but even they have probably forgotten all but the rough outline of those vastly ancient times. No being since Ancient times has spent skill points in knowledge of this historical period.
