Skalds are bards that follow a more martial tradition. They do not learn arcane spells (and thus are not considered mana-sensitive), but they gain a fighter’s attack progression. They retain all other bard abilities.

The skaldic tradition is common among Skandiks (where skalds replace bards), and it may be found wherever Skandik culture has sway. It also appears to circulate among the giant races.
