Various Wilderlands content spanning the decades. To the best of my knowledge, all of this stuff is out of print and no longer available for purchase anywhere other than the collector market. I have made my best effort to not include anything that people who worked hard on stuff are still making money from. This is intended as a historical archive of all the Wilderlands materials that disappeared from everywhere when Bledsaw III got canceled. This is the greatest campaign setting ever concieved, and it's a crying shame to see it so utterly erased from existence due to dumb woke outrage politics. The directories are as follows, roughly in order of my own personal preference: - Judges_Guild - ---------------- This is the OG Wilderlands setting material. Of great historical interest, but in my opinion the Necromancer Games version is organized far better and is much easier to use, even if that means having to convert it from D20 back to an OSR-ish system as you go. Most of this is for 0e or 1e. - Necromancer - --------------- In the mid-2000s, White Wolf released their take on the Wilderlands under their Necromancer Games imprint, for the D20 system. OG Bob Bledsaw, Conley, Mishler, and more (including OG Judges' Guild writers) were involved in its creation. It is massive, detailed, very well organized, beautiful maps, has Frazetta cover art, and (other than being for D20 system) is the most based version of the settion other than perhaps the OG Judges' Guild materials. I think this is the easiest one to use, despite having to convert from D20 back to an OSR-type system during play. Unfortunately it has also become one of the hardest ones to find, and fetches ridiculous sums on the collector's market. And more unfortunately, due to the ownership entanglements of the product between Judges' Guild and what is now Frog God Games, it will probably never be available again other than through piracy or spending ridiculous sums on the collector market for a shelf-queen that cost too much to actually use. :( -BatInTheAttic- --------------- In the late 2010s, Bob Conley published a revised edition of the Wilderlands for Castles & Crusades and 0e. These are excellent materials, although I still prefer the Necromancer Games materials for use at the table. Mr. Conley was also involved in the Necromancer Games edition, possibly other editions, and is probably the world's foremost expert on the setting. Since the cancellation of Bledsaw III, he has been publishing his own Wilderlands-like things (Majestic Fantasy, Blackmarsh, Isle of Pyade, etc). Those materials are still in print, and as such are not included in this archive. They are available for purchase at the usual places, and I think that if you enjoy Mr. Conley's work, you should definitely buy his in-print products and support him. He lost a lot when Bledsaw III got canceled, and we need to look out for our bros. - AGP - ------- Sometime in the late 2000s, AGP (Mishler) published some 'Wilderlands of High Adventure' materials for Castles & Crusades. I find it to be interesting content, but it lacks both the breadth of the OG Judges' Guild materials and the clarity of the Necromancer Games material. - Goodman - ----------- In the mid-2000s, Goodman Games published remakes of a couple of classic modules for the D20 system. Goodman Games is currently kickstarting a re-release of CSIO, which looks like it's going to be the best thing since the Necromancer Games edition. I highly recommend backing it, even though they kind of cucked and pulled their Judges' Guild products back in the day when Bledsaw III got canceled. - Mayfair - ----------- Sometime in the 1980s, Mayfair Games published CSIO content, but placed it in a different campaign world. For 1e. I do not recommend it as canon, but it is included for historical interest. - Gamescience - --------------- Gamescience published a revised version of the Tegel Manor module in 1989. - Websites - ------------ Mirrors of Feery's Leap and Acaeum websites, in case they should ever disappear from the internet for some reason. - Misc - -------- Various miscellaneous Wilderlands materials collected from the internet. Some are fan-works, some history, others I have no idea about.
